The Balls Are In Your Court
I have talked ad nauseam about penile play. However, there’s a part of the anatomy that I have yet to cradle… And that is the balls!
The factory center where sperm is made and stored. They can often be ignored because they can be intimidating — a fleshy temperamental scrotum with two sensitive oblong spongious organs. But once you unpack the sack, it can be a ton of fun – a way to prolong and deepen the sexual experience and bond.
Have you ever been to a restaurant and left thinking that the appetizers were better than the main course? Well that is what the joy of ball play can be. Let’s play ball!
BALLS AT THE READY
Hygiene and care are always key. Some heteronormative men may think it’s not masculine to have good hygiene around the testicular area. But when you wash, make sure to get in good. The scrotum actually does a lot of work by regulating temperature. The skin is constantly contracting and expanding, expelling sweat and building up skin cell debris from every day chafing. Make sure that soap and water is used.
Secondly, make sure the balls are manicured. Get your partner’s and your own bush under control. The completely smooth look is not ‘in’, and can lead to in-grown hair follicles. Get a trimmer that keeps the hair at around ¼-½ inch length around the shaft, and around ⅛ inch on the testicles is ideal. Any longer, you could get a hair stuck in your throat. Any shorter, and the balls’ flesh could get agitated or even could be in pain when the testicles contract, poking the skin with the shortened or shaved hairs.
The balls can be a paradox. Everyone has a different sensitivity level. Some are super sensitive, while others’ balls can be more resilient and enjoy a bit more punishment. Always start gently. With ease, lift the scrotum away from the thighs until they are freed from their lair. Sometimes the body’s friction adheres the skin, and can create discomfort if not freed from the thigh area. Then, gently juggle the testes with your fingers. This is also a good time to do a check for any lumps or bumps – testicular cancer checks can be sexy!
TONGUE IN CHEEK
Try the same approach with your tongue. Gently rake the tongue along the underseam of the scrotum, until you get to the bottom of the shaft. Envelope one of the testes and gently suck, using your tongue to play with the ball. This may be too much sensation for your partner, or they may want you to suck harder. Always keep in mind communication during this. It’s a little like the game Marco Polo. The more you connect, the closer you’ll get to finding what you’re looking for.
BALLS UNDER PRESSURE
Play with the amount of pressure you place on the jewels. Sometimes, the slightest stroke of the balls with the pads of your fingers will elicit a great response. Sometimes a pinching of the scrotum (please not the balls) will increase blood flow.
Also note that during play, the balls will change. The scrotum will contract and expand depending on the temperature. Even the testes themselves may change in size. It is also of note that as sexual activity increases, the balls will begin to retract closer and closer to the body in preparation for ejaculation. This is a good time to revisit the balls – they will be more sensitive during this time frame before the release.
BREATH WORK, TEMPERATURE, AND TOYS
Lightly exhaling your breath onto the testes can make someone go wild. Try and ice cube in your mouth, or take the balls to flavortown with some flavored lubricants, but don’t let any tricks overcome the intent of the sexual moment. Lastly, if your partner is feeling adventurous, consider using a cock ring or testicle inhibitor. These go above the balls on the scrotum and below the shaft. Using a cock ring will prolong ejaculation and increase sensitivity to the balls.
After you or your partner ejaculate, feel free after clean up to continue cupping your partners balls during the afterglow cuddle. It can be one of the most intimate cuddling moments to both have control and create intimacy by continuing to stimulate the area.
Now, the balls are in your court.
