Q: Dear Emily,

I have been having sex with my girlfriend for eight months now, and was a virgin before her. Although she’s a lot more experienced than me sexually, she has never been in a same-sex relationship before, and we are figuring everything out together. This time of year, people travel all over the world to spend quality time with their friends and loved ones. And traveling is the easy part—once you touch down in your hometown, you know your schedule will be packed with family-friendly activities: elaborate dinners, get-togethers, tree-decorating, last-minute shopping, family photos, dodging questions from your nosey aunt about your (lack of) love life or (lack of) starting a family… You get the picture.
