To help commemorate the fabulous occasion in history as well as essence, here’s a Pride Month Medley of our top Pride-themed blogs and podcasts.

Because, while June gloom may be in full swing,  not even that can rain on our parade—our Pride parade, to be exact!

It’s the annual time of year specially dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and their monumental quest for equality.

While the parades, parties, and campaigns have come to be a large part of the celebration as we know it today, there’s a whole lot more to it than just that.

Pride History: From Protests to Parades

The Stonewall Riots, game-changing activist groups, origins of the rainbow flag – it’s all there. Here’s your chance to brush up on the revolutionary groundwork that paved the way for the modern Pride Month.

Whether it’s trekking to the hottest Pride locales around the world, or showing your solidarity by being a good ally to the community, there’s never a shortage of ways to commemorate the cause.

A Guide to Sexual Orientations

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: sexuality is a spectrum. Something which the LGBTQIA+ community knows exceptionally well. We want to help you stay up to date and informed on the many ways people sexually identify. So we compiled a list of almost 20 in our Guide to Sexual Orientations blog.

We encourage the joyous celebration of the beautiful range of sexuality that exists. However, it’s important to be able to talk about it correctly and intelligently as well. Avoid accidentally offending someone by self-educating. Don’t worry, we’re here to help!

3 Steps to Exploring Your Sexuality

A big part of the Pride Month mission is combatting the notion that exploring outside of “classic” sexuality is bad or unnatural. Of course, it’s one thing to think of yourself as “gay” or “straight”, but there’s a great wide world of everything in between.

Which leads to our 3 Steps to Exploring Your Sexuality blog. Which highlights that it’s perfectly fine to identify with one, two or seven different labels. After all, what better time than the month of Pride to drive home that it’s essential to accept who you are, and celebrate it, too!

Since that’s something Zara knows all too well, she and Emily do a deep dive into everything from what it means to discover and embrace your sexuality, to lesbian sex myths. Plus, some killer tips on what to do if you’re bi-curious.

Our Pride Month Takeaways

The value of staking your sexual claim is one of the most important lessons at the heart of Pride Month. It’s no secret we live in a world overrun with outdated labels and preconceived notions. When it comes to anything surrounding sex, unfortunately, that case is especially true.

However, Pride Month is about not letting anyone get in your head and influence who you know you are at your fabulous core. It’s about kicking labels and stereotypes to the curb in order to be authentically, unapologetically you.

The fight for LGBTQIA+ equality is far from over. However, the community’s iconic lessons in self-acceptance and self-celebration are winning in the court of popular opinion. Regardless if you’re a member or an ally, these are concepts every one of us could benefit from daily.

So as we walk, march and sashay our way into this year’s celebration and beyond, let’s remember to be proud of who we are. While holding deas what Pride personally means to you.
