Connecting with your spirituality is a great way to connect with your overall health and wellness. Oftentimes people will use things like yoga, manifestation, or heck, even crystals to connect with their bodies and desires.

Now, I’m sure some of you are thinking, “WTF, crystals? Is that a real thing?” Short answer: yes. Lots of people are using crystals to tap into their sexual selves and truly embody their desires. Let’s discuss how.

A Quick Review of Crystal Basics

Let’s start by discussing some crystal jargon. First off, what is considered a crystal? To put it simply, crystals are solid materials that are atomically arranged to give them a specific structure. If it looks like a shiny lumpy rock, that’s actually classified as a gemstone. By nature, crystls bring symmetry and balance–they’re like the Feng-Shui of rock formations. They’ve been here much longer than we have, and they’re going to be here much longer than we are. Some folks believe that crystals even have special properties and energies.

Here’s how it works: Science has proven that matter is 99.99% empty space. And what makes up the empty space? Energy! The world is basically entirely energy. Everything in this world is or has energy—including people. As humans, our energies are susceptible to change. We’re super influenced by emotions and states of being, like happiness, compassion, jealousy,  anger, love, or attraction.

Unlike humans, crystals give off very stable energy.  Their energy doesn’t change because they already have a perfectly geometric pattern of molecules.  Because of this, many people will use crystals to help influence their energies!

So how can crystals be used to influence your sexual energy? Oh, let us count the ways…

Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is the stone that represents romance. When held, it’s said to open your heart center and build trust. If you’re trying to plant a seed in the proverbial garden, this is the crystal to keep on your bedside table while you rock the boat.

Variscite

Variscite is known for its gorgeous milky green color and is said to increase libido. So if you’re feeling like you’re just never in the mood, variscite is the stone to unturn.

Orange Carnelian

Let’s talk some psychology before we get deeper into the physical. Putting orange carnelian on your nightstand before going to bed may not magically change your sex life. But the stone is said to promote vitality to female sex organs. By putting this stone next to your bed, you’re giving yourself permission to open yourself up, and the thought alone could very well put you on a journey of renewed sexual vigor.

To Yoni or Not to Yoni?

Now we would be remiss if we didn’t talk about Yoni eggs: crystals, usually made of jade, that that you place in your vagina. The use of Yoni eggs is a Taoist practice that has been used throughout history to promote sexual vitality. However, jade is incredibly porous and can easily absorb bacteria. So for the health of your vulva, we do not recommend inserting Yoni eggs and disrupting your vaginal health. If you’re looking for a product to work your Kegel muscles, try the Yarlap! It’s a much safer and totally effective way to strengthen your pelvic floor.

However, jade does promote balance and holistic regeneration. So by all means, keep the stone themselves placed around your bedroom for a spiritual sex boost! You can also lay them on your body externally to absorb their energy and enjoy the smooth cool texture. (Temperaure play, anyone?)

If you’re looking for a way to become just a little more sexually spiritual, pick up some crystals and let yourself absorb that delicious energy. If. nothing else, they’ll look great on your nightstand.
