Emily’s mission has always been to help people have the best sex they can. On today’s show, she’s joined by editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, Michele Promaulayko, a magazine that’s had a similar goal since the 1960s!
With summer soon a thing of the past and all things pumpkin spice on the horizon, we say goodbye to warm weather staples like barbecues, pool hangs and exploring the open road. Even though this year’s sunny season has come to a close, the good news is not all road trips have to be kissed goodbye!
For September, we’re going “back to basics,” covering all there is to know and (more importantly) not ignore when it comes to the fundamentals of sex. This time around, we’re charting the course of pleasure roads sometimes less traveled with the ever-elusive “erogenous zone.”
Hey there sport, have a seat. I want to talk to you about something important. I know, I know… in school they taught you all about “the birds and the bees,” but they leave out a lot of the good stuff. That’s what I want to talk to you about. See, every once and a while, we all need to get back to the basics for a quick refresher course including the good stuff like “How to’s” and useful tips. Sexuality is an advanced course, one that is ever-evolving and always exciting.
What’s so special about today? It’s Emily’s birthday! One of her birthday wishes is to get closer to all you listeners out there– she wants to hear from you! On today’s show, Emily is answering your questions on all things sex because she’s all about helping you have the best sex life you can!
Now that we’ve officially hit the holiday home-stretch, you’re probably feeling the full weight of the season on your shoulders. No matter how proactive we were with our planning and shopping this year, there will always be those last-minute gifts to grab, final traveling arrangements to make, and a whole lot of holiday cheer to cram into the next few days. Just thinking about it makes me want to take a nice long nap!
To think, back when we were kids our biggest complaint was that we HAD to go to bed on exciting holiday nights. Nowadays, many of us would trade every present under the tree (if you’re into that sort of thing) for a good night’s sleep… Not to mention a good night of, well, you know. Continue Reading
Along with many of fun activities of our youth, like wine coolers and ice blocking, some of us have lost our enthusiasm for the good old fashion make out. Gone are the days of stolen smooches in the hallway, marathon make outs in the back row of the movie theater and full-contact kisses that send shivers down your spine. We remember the thrill of the activity itself, but kissing often falls by the wayside after you’re in a relationship.
This throwback show from 2014 is all about the importance of kissing. From the first light peck to the full body make out, Emily tells you how to pucker up like a pro and sweep any partner off of their feet.
Whether you’re male, female, single, gay or straight, you all have one thing in common.. You want to have mind-blowing sex. You want to please and be pleased. But here’s the thing: Before you can earn your black belt in bedroom acrobatics, you first must master the basics. I don’t care if you are a tantric sex master or a cunnilingual casanova; if you can twist yourself into a pretzel during oral but you can’t give a decent hand job, what’s the point?
So let’s not just talk about sex — Let’s talk the barenaked basics of having an amazing sex life. Let’s take things all the way back to the “hookup”. Picture your first-ever encounter with a new (but hopefully recurring) sex partner. Before they get to appreciate the portfolio of sex positions you’re hoarding at home base, you’ve got to wow them through 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
As someone who just recently put college in her rearview mirror (okay, it was two years ago, but still…) this time of year still hits me with a wave of nostalgia.
In grade school, September brought with it the memories of pencil boxes, crisp white notebook paper and the mandatory Lisa Frank trapper-keeper (don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about). Now, I can’t breathe in the crisp autumn air without picturing Orientation Week keg parties, late night dorm room hangouts and the sea of strangers that I would soon call my lovers and friends.
